The Story

Once upon a time Rosie Sherry was a freelance software tester.  She found the experience of doing and finding work quite frustrating.  She would be contracting for web agencies and spend much of her time sitting around (and getting paid) waiting for information or software releases to arrive.

This made Rosie feel bad as it wasn’t really very good use of the clients money.

Rosie also came across many other issues.  Particularly around (lack of) budgets, clients only wanting to engage for short periods and needing very specific skills.

Fast forward 5 years – Rosie unexpectedly created an online community for software testers.  It’s pretty cool there with lots of passionate and focused testers.  It also happens that many of these testers want to work and are pretty darn good at what they do.

So we thought it would be a good idea to match these testers in a nice and open way to clients. So, it’s crowd sourced testing, but in a really nice and socially driven way.  There are no strangers here.

Though it’s not just Rosie now.  There’s a nice team behind The Software Testing Club and The Test Crowd.
